Curlew Camp Sydney Walk in Mosman

Curlew Camp Sydney Walk. Discover Sydney Harbour bushland artists of yesteryear.

Our Picturesque Mosman Tour takes you along the harbour foreshore and bushland boardwalks from Taronga Zoo to Mosman Bay via Curlew Camp.

Arthur Streeton and Tom Roberts first visited the camp in the early 1890s. By the later 1890s and early 1900s, the camp had become established with canvas tents as well as a weatherboard dining hall and garden.

Curlew Camp Walk

At the Curlew Camp you will enjoy the personalised commentary and learn about the yesteryear of the bohemian bush artists who visited the camp.

Also you’ll have a taste of creativity as you have a go at your very own bush landscape sketch. Just like the artists who frequently visited this site in the past.

Afterwards, you’ll continue on the trail following the harbour foreshore track to Mosman Bay. Here you’ll learn more about the heritage sites and early years of this area.

Once arriving at Mosman Rowers you’ll receive a well deserved complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Then enjoy the dining experience above the water for the two course set menu below.

“Our guide, Alan, had wonderful knowledge of the location as well as the plants and birds we saw along the way. Lunch at the Rowing Club was extremely generous and delicious. I’ d recommend this walk to Sydneysiders interested in learning about our harbour foreshores as much as any visitor to Aus. Certainly a lovely way to pass a day in our own city.” Janice Train
