Georges Head Walk

Explore the natural beauty and historic sites on our Georges Head Walk.

Explore the natural beauty of the Sydney Harbour National Park and learn more about the local flora and fauna.

Whilst on a tour to Georges Head with us you may have a chance encounter with local animal species such as water dragons, blue tongue lizards, rainbow lorikeets, brush turkeys and perhaps the elusive king parrots.

Also, wander underneath the thick canopies of the Sydney red gum trees and enjoy the scenic views along the water’s edge whilst admiring the intricate sandstone rock formations on the shores of Sydney Harbour National Park.

Additionally, learn about the area of Chowder Bay as an integral part of Sydney’s whaling industry and the military fortifications of Bradleys Head.

Many thanks Alan for guiding us on a marvellous ‘Georges Head’ walk last week (March 15th 2020). We particularly enjoyed your Acknowledgement of Country at the beginning of the walk and your obvious love and passion for the bushland and environment that we experienced.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge of the area and it’s wonderful flora and fauna and for making the walk so interesting by pointing out the harbour views, birds, trees and flowers along the way.

We can’t recommend you highly enough and would do your tour all over again….it was tremendous!

Best wishes Robyn and Chris Perth WA
